General spectators will not be allowed access to the resort. However, if your spouse or significant other is not a runner, please feel free to bring them along. Just place his or her name on the "Volunteer" line of the entry form. We'll put them to work cheering you on as a course monitor, aid station worker, or finish line volunteer. The 5K race course is definitely cross-country. The course is a fun and challenging one that includes ravines, logs, gravel roads, trails thru woods and open meadows. No pets, bicycles, strollers, baby joggers, or in-line skates will be permitted on the course for safety reasons. The Bay to Breakers exists on this list because it has a recognized unofficial "nude division" called the BARE-2-BREAKERS. The BARE-2-BREAKERS is a group of "uncostumed" (nude) participants within the enormous Bay to Breakers footrace which annually draws about 100,000 participants. All participants either run or walk the event�s 7.46 mile course across the San Francisco peninsula to the Pacific Ocean�s breakers. The BARE-2-BREAKERS 2004 nude run is being promoted by the independent Bare-2-B Boosters which has been established to provide public service information about the event. The Boosters are supported by the Western Association for Nude Recreation (WANR) and can be reached by e-mail at: [email protected]. The Examiner Bay to Breakers will be running for the 93rd time at 8:00am on the third Sunday in May 2004. The challenging course runs over unpaved road, with a short section of cross country. Up hill to the turn around and back downhill. It is a fun and challenging course laid out on gravel roads and trails that are enclosed entirely within the resort. Running naked on a trail through the woods creates a feeling of tranquility that most runners adore. One loop is required to complete the 5K distance. No pets, bicycles, strollers, baby joggers, or in-line skates will be permitted on the course for safety reasons. After the race you can cool down, walk over to the showers, and then utilize the pool or hot tub. Expect 200 to 300 runners. The gate opens at 9:00 AM so you can get in a bit of relaxation before the race.
